Sol's Story
Solo 2Y.O | 10 lbs | Papillion mix
Fostered in East Bay
Please fill out an application to meet him! https://www.welcomehomesanctuary.org/adoption-application

We don’t know much about Solo’s past—he was found abandoned in Merced Scared, thin, dirty with matted coat—but we do know this: he’s got a huge heart, a gentle spirit, and a surprising amount of personality packed into 10 little pounds.

Solo is the kind of dog who makes himself at home quickly. He’s playful, affectionate, and has a funny habit of gently tugging at your pant leg when he wants attention—his version of tapping you on the shoulder to say, “Hey, want to hang out?”

He’s great with other small dogs (he lives with a few in his foster home), happily shares toys and food, and walks beautifully on leash. He’s also pee pad trained with remarkable accuracy. When left alone, he’s quiet and well-behaved—no barking, no chewing, no drama. At night, he sleeps in his crate without a fuss.

Solo loves people—he’ll curl up on your lap, jump onto the couch to be near you, and follow you from room to room. But he’s also a sensitive soul. He doesn’t respond well to yelling or harsh tones; he really thrives in a calm, loving environment where he feels safe and seen.

Other fun facts:
• He handles grooming like a pro (even the groomers were impressed)
• He loves squeaky toys
• He’s bilingual—he understands both English and Spanish
• He watches the cats through the fence and minds his business

Solo would do best in a home with gentle humans (older kids are fine) He’s been through some hard times, but he’s ready to be someone’s whole world. He really is a special little guy.
