Once he feels safe with you, he is wonderfully loving and happiest when he can be close to his people.<br/><br/>But Sokka needs a little understanding in return.<br/><br/>New places, new people, and big changes can be overwhelming for him. He isn’t the dog who will walk into a new home and immediately act like he’s lived there forever. He needs time to decompress, observe, figure things out, and decide that you’re someone he can trust. He needs someone who will let him be a little unsure without giving up on him.<br/><br/>And that patience is where the magic happens.<br/><br/>Because underneath those initial nerves is a goofy, affectionate, incredibly intelligent boy who desperately wants a person of his own.
