Soda Pop's Story
Meet Soda Pop, a handsome brindle pittie with the softest eyes and lighthearted demeanor.

Soda Pop arrived in the most unexpected way, quite literally walking into his foster mom’s life. He had been following a homeless man, paused to lick the dewy grass, and when he looked up, the man was gone, never turning back. Somehow, Soda Pop knew the inn had a vacancy. From day one, he settled right in, as if he’d always belonged.

Soda Pop is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms and is otherwise fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Through it all, his spirit has remained simply lovely. He greets you with a quiet, subtle joy when you come home from work: no chaos, just pure happiness that you’re back. He has the perfect balance of playful zoomies, gentle curiosity, and a deep love for cuddling.

He is dog friendly, though we’ve noticed that some dominant male dogs don’t particularly care for him. He has done wonderfully meeting our resident cats and shows polite, respectful behavior around them with a healthy curiosity. Soda Pop walks nicely on a leash, crates beautifully, loves car rides, and has excellent recall. In short, he’s a really good dog.

Soda Pop is the kind of companion who makes a house feel like home. If you’re interested in meeting this sweet, soulful gentleman, please submit an application at CRAPrescue.org/application.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet / the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Soda Pop's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
