Snoopy's Story

Snoopy is a puppy-like, very bouncy fun boy who came to us from a Northern Community and had been previously living on a chain. Needless to say, his move into a foster home was a big one, but he has been working really hard on his manners and is thriving!

He is very playful but can be unaware of his body and how big he is. He has so much love for the world, and just wants to be a part of a family that he’s never had. He likes to be around his people but will happily curl up on his bed or in his crate for a good sleep. If given the proper exercise, he can be quite calm and does love a good snuggle. He does love to follow you around the house and is working on not needing to be around his humans at all times, but will settle on his bed with a bone or toy.

Outside the house, Snoopy will run until he can’t run anymore! He loves to jump in the snow and lay there like it’s his day bed. He loves fetch, although he prefers to chase the toy, and is still working on giving it back to his humans.

Snoopy can be shy when meeting new people at first, he spends a bit of time being unsure about his new friends but does warm up and likes a scratch under his chin. Once he gets to know you, he will sit at your feet and take all the love and attention you're willing to give.

Snoopy is very food driven and has a hard time staying calm when there's food around, something he's working on in his foster home. His love for food has helped him learn new tricks and he's working hard on his recall. He hasn't exhibited much prey drive outside with birds and squirrels, choosing to ignore them while on walks.
