Snoopy's Story
Meet Snoopy, a 3-year-old, Oreo-colored mixed breed dog with the gentlest, most intuitive soul.

Snoopy’s story is one of quiet loyalty and love. He once belonged to a homeless man who truly did his best to care for him. Along the way, a kind Good Samaritan stepped in to make sure Snoopy received the vet care he needed, including heartworm treatment, and even helped by babysitting him from time to time. When Snoopy’s owner ultimately made the heartbreaking decision to relinquish him, Snoopy came into our care, where he has spent the last few months patiently waiting for his forever home.

At around 65 pounds, Snoopy is a wonderful, steady presence. He is perfectly crate trained, excellent on a leash, rides well in the car, and is dog friendly. He loves all people. Snoopy knows how to alert with a good bark when there’s a reason to, but he doesn’t overuse his voice, which is an incredibly nice, balanced protective trait to have in a dog.
Snoopy is fully vetted: neutered, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. He is an exceptionally sweet and loving boy who enjoys cuddling and spending quality time with his people. What truly sets Snoopy apart is his emotional intelligence. He seems to know when you need a little extra comfort and is always ready to offer quiet companionship on heavy days.

If you think Snoopy might be a good fit for your home, please submit an application at CRAPrescue.org/application. Snoopy is ready for the loving, stable home he has always deserved.

Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet / the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Snoopy's adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
