Hi, I'm Snoopy! <br/>Just under 1 year old | APBT Mix | 54 lbs<br/><br/>I'm a friendly, happy go lucky guy who may have had a bit of a bumpy start, but the good news? I'm still basically a blank slate. <br/><br/>When my original owner was arrested, a family member stepped in and took me home. Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed where they were living, and at 54 lbs of young, bouncy puppy energy, I was also a little more dog than an elderly couple could comfortably manage.<br/><br/>So now I'm here at the shelter, waiting for someone to give me my second chance!<br/><br/> <br/><br/>The best thing about adopting a dog my age is that I'm still SO young. You're practically starting from scratch with me, which means I have all kinds of potential to become the kind of dog you help teach me to be!<br/><br/> A LITTLE ABOUT ME:<br/><br/> Just under a year old and still very much a puppy Appears to be dog friendly Expected to do well with respectful kiddos Doesn't seem to mind cats Keep a pretty clean kennel for the most part Young, playful, and ready to learn<br/><br/> <br/><br/> I'M READY TO LEARN!<br/><br/>I seem to have a pretty good start when it comes to keeping my kennel clean, but I may need a little potty training refresher while I learn your schedule and routine.<br/><br/>Crate training is HIGHLY recommended, both to help with house training and to give me a safe, predictable space of my own.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Because of all the changes I've experienced in my young life, staff also suspects I may have a little bit of separation anxiety. That doesn't mean I'm destined to panic every time you leave the house. It just means my new family should be prepared to help me learn that being alone is safe and temporary.<br/><br/>Things that will likely help me succeed:<br/><br/> Crate training and creating positive associations with my crate<br/><br/> Plenty of mental enrichment and things to keep my brain busy<br/><br/> Daily exercise and playtime to burn off that young dog energy<br/><br/> A consistent routine so I know what to expect<br/><br/> Possibly another confident, friendly dog in the home to show me the ropes and help me feel less alone<br/><br/>Most importantly, I'll need someone willing to give me a little time to settle in and teach me what life in a stable home is supposed to look like.<br/><br/>I'm young, I'm impressionable, handsome, and I have a LOT of life ahead of me.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>If you're ready for a young dog who may need some guidance but has all the potential in the world to become an incredible companion, I might just be your guy. <br/><br/> <br/><br/>Neutered, microchipped, Heartworm & Lyme Negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention.<br/><br/>Adoption fee is normally $100, but $0 through 10/17/26!!<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Neutered, microchipped, Heartworm & Lyme Negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention.
