Snoop's Story

Snoop came to PAWS feeling scared, unsure, and much too skinny. The world felt like a pretty big place for this little guy!

Today, he’s completed his vetting and has been slowly coming out of his shell in foster care. Now, he’s ready to find a very special forever home!

Snoop is looking for an adult-only home where he can be the only dog, with someone who understands the importance of patience and respecting his boundaries with a fearful dog.

As a small dog, Snoop needs people who understand that being little doesn’t mean he should have to tolerate being picked up, handled, or reached for when he’s uncomfortable. Snoop specifically struggles with hands reaching toward him, so his future family must be willing to give him autonomy, let him make choices, and allow him to approach when he feels ready.

He may take time to warm up to new people, but once he learns to trust you, his loving side begins to shine. That relationship just won’t happen overnight, and he needs someone who understands that earning his trust is a process worth respecting.

... And don’t let his little size fool you! Snoop loves going for walks and staying active. He’s looking for a family who will enjoy getting out and exploring with him, not one expecting a lazy little lapdog.

Adoption Fee: $550

Includes microchip, spay/neuter, all vaccines, and deworming.

Please note: PAWS for Life adopts to force-free homes only. Snoop’s future family must be committed to positive, reward-based training methods and respecting his individual needs.

Apply to adopt Snoop here:
https://docs.google.com/.../1FAIpQLSe4dRmoB0mwnB.../viewform

So... you think you have what it takes to adopt? Getting a puppy or a new dog is an exciting moment in a person's life. Dogs truly become part of our family, which is why here at PAWS, we are dedicated to helping pets stay in their forever homes through our application vetting process. We carefully review each application in search of the best match for every dog that comes into our care. Let's talk commitment! Getting a dog means giving them unconditional love and fulfilling all of their needs for the rest of their lives. The basics include love, food, water and shelter - but there is so much more! Be sure you have plans for things like: what will you do with your pet when you go on vacation?, are you able to afford veterinary costs?, and are you willing to take your new dog in for force-free training? If you're ready, we'd love to hear from you! Fill out an application today!
