S'mores's Story

Meet S’mores!

S’mores is an 18-month-old petite beagle/hound mix, weighing 35 pounds. Rescued in late July from a rural Georgia highway, she was found frail, underweight, limping, and in desperate need of help. Thankfully, a kind-hearted volunteer brought her to safety, contacted us and ultimately transported her from GA to MD.

S’mores is crate-trained, knows how to sit, and, while she needs a bit more training on manners and housebreaking, she is exceptionally sweet, very playful with other pups, and cat-friendly- just an all-around social butterfly.

Our orthopedic specialist has evaluated her, and the great news is that her old femur fracture has fully healed—no surgery needed! She’s now using her leg like a champ and zooming around happily. She is ready for adoption!

We are confident that S’mores will make a wonderful family pet. Whether in the city or the country, she would thrive and enjoy the company of other canine or feline companions.
