His primary conservation effort is preventing unattended laps.<br/><br/>He is neutered, heartworm negative, house trained, kennel trained, knows sit, adores kids, loves humans, and contains an amount of tenderness wildly disproportionate to his substantial bear-shaped chassis.<br/><br/>Smokie loves outdoor adventures, but he is equally committed to indoor forestry, primarily patrolling the sofa, inspecting blankets, and collapsing across his people like a 63-pound weighted blanket with feelings.<br/><br/>After being attacked by dogs in his past, Smokie has formally withdrawn from canine diplomacy. He needs to be the only dog, and frankly, he has enough personality to fill every available department anyway.<br/><br/>His real specialty is belonging. Smokie attaches himself to his humans with magnificent sincerity and takes family membership extremely seriously.<br/><br/>Only-dog household. Unlimited-human household. Due to the high volume of introductions/questions received we ask you to submit an application (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).<br/><br/>The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet.
