Smoki's Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Smoki is a 11 month old hound mix that is super chill. He is a puppy with an old soul. So sweet and loving great with other dogs and children. This is what his foster mom has to say

These are arguably our favorite litter of puppies we’ve ever fostered and, since we’ve been doing this for over 15 years, that’s saying something! My favorite time of day is when they’ve gone potty and you or another family come out of your room and they see you for the first time, they come quickly with so much puppy wiggling and their body language exudes they are smiling and so happy to see you!

When we first agreed to pull the puppies from the shelter, we were told there were only four siblings there. The day of transport pickup we learned there was a mistake, there were actually FIVE. Smoki was our surprise – how could we leave him behind?! These puppies have melted our hearts but knowing he was almost left behind and euthanized, just gives us an extra soft spot for our little Smokes.
He is the smallest of his brothers. He is slender, like a treeing walker coonhound or pointer, but has a very petite Basset Hound face. His coat is so silky! While they are all very gentle, he is the gentlest of the boys. He’s the one that wants to snuggle close to you immediately. He loves kisses to his face. He’s also super goofy and playful. He has really come out of his shell and will instigate play and especially loves zooming around the pool or yard.
He loves nylabones and any soft toy and snacking on ice cubes! He loves going for walks and if you want to run, he loves it, but if you only want to walk, he’s happy with that too!
He is crate trained, leash trained, and 95% potty trained. He understands the word “no” and is not destructive at all. He walks wonderfully on leash and is learning basic commands.
