Smokey's Story

Gonna ask you a question. Now be honest. Have you ever wanted a pet potato? ???????
How about a dog that resembles Bruno the Trashman with the personality of Oscar the Grouch? ?
So meet Smokey. He’s about 8 years old, a shar pei of course. LEO was sent to his house to do a wellness check on his dad, and when they got there, they found his dad (still alive but not well at all) and Smokey and his German shepherd brother, he was dead. ????? They don’t even know how long his dad was down but they could tell several days. So he’s had a rough last year.
Smokey is a typical shar pei, personality wise, and for the shar pei lovers, it’s very endearing. He was fine with me from the get go, and he does like to snuggle, but sometimes he’s grouchy, and sometimes when I grab his collar to lead him into a crate, he would rather not go, but like all of us, he’s just got his little quirks. He’s a loyal companion and really a sweetheart if you can look through the other stuff, and in a normal setting (1 or 2 dog household) he probably would be a little different. He’s good on leash, he would love to sit on the couch with you and watch movies. He’s good with other dogs that won’t eat him when he does his little bristly I think I’m a bad ass front. He doesn’t do anything, and the dogs know it, they just have to tolerate that and he’s fine. It’s kind of comical really, I can see them saying, “you ain’t gonna do nothing” .
Smokey is a little guy, under 40 lbs. He’s really a good dog that deserves a great retirement home . He’s also good on leash and housebroken and crate trained. He’s very good in the house .
Smokey has had entropian surgery on both eyes and a dental so he’s good medically.
