Smidge's Story

Meet Smidge! You know those dogs who are just a lil bit special but in the cutest way possible? That’s Smidge. She’s just a smidge special. Smidge found herself at a local shelter in need of rescue. With one look at that face we were all in. Her jaw is basically missing a chunk on the top, and the teeth she has are a hot mess of broken and fully ground down bits and pieces. Unfortunately removing all of these would be a complicated, painful process and would likely impact the jaw she has left. So for now, we have been advised to leave them as they are. Smidge has been an easy going girl who just wants to be loved. She has enjoyed living with other dogs and has coexisted easily. She's been good with all the people she has met. Smidge is a good girl who would do well in many homes! Smidge is a mixed breed around 50lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, and current on flea/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $300. To adopt Smidge, apply today at farfetcheddogrescue.org!

Far Fetched Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

All adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, and current on heartworm and flea prevention. All medical concerns are addressed prior to adoption including emergency care needed, chronic health conditions, dental care, and various other concerns. Adoption Fees All Adoption fees vary based on the individual animal. Adoption Process The adoption process begins with an application. After the application has been reviewed and references checked, A Home check video will be requested. This video will need to include interior and exterior views of the home and yard if applicable. Once the home check has been submitted and approved, we are able to schedule a meet and greet with the adoptable animal. If both parties agree to proceed with adoption, your new family member will go home with you! Please note, we may request a few days after the meet and greet to make a decision for the animals placement, however, most adoptions will take place the day of the meet and greet.
