SLEEPY's Story

Sleepy (A140295) is a 6-year-old AK Husky who weighed just under 50 pounds on intake! 11/17/25 This cute boy is Sleepy! However, unlike his name, he is very lively and looking for an active home to join! Unfortunately, his surrendering owner did not provide any behavioral information on how he was in a home setting. At the shelter, he has been a good boy with a bundle of energy. He would benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners and socialization skills. We do not know if he is fully housebroken, but he has done a good job at doing his business outside while at the shelter. Keep in mind, there is always an adjustment period as he gets settled into his new home and routine. Sleepy was surrendered with another dog, Panda, but we do not know his experience level around other animals or children. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new potential friends. Courtesy of the amazing shelter fund, Sleepy was also sent out for a dental cleaning. He is all smiles now! If you are interested in meeting Sleepy, please let us know!
