Slate

Meet your future best friend, Slate!

This lively, rambunctious pup is full of curiosity, energy, and puppy fun! While we don’t know who the parents are, one thing we can all agree on is that these pups are likely to grow into big dogs — and they’ll need a home prepared for everything that comes with raising a large, active puppy.

That means keeping them safe and appropriately managed through their mouthy stages of development, while providing plenty of exercise, outdoor time, enrichment, and positive outlets for all that growing-body energy. Continued training will also be important, including leash skills, crate training, potty training, and everyday manners.

These pups are going to need families who are ready to be patient, consistent, and active. With the right structure, training, and plenty of opportunities to explore and burn energy, they have everything they need to grow into wonderful, confident adult dogs.

• Around 3 months old
• Currently 18 lbs. and growing!
• Good with kids, dogs and cats
• Adoption fee: $350

This dog is currently housed at our shelter. If you are interested, please come in at your earliest availability during our open hours—no appointment necessary. We do same-day adoptions, do not hold dogs, and work on a first-come, first-served basis as long as it is an excellent fit for both parties. If you have questions or want to possibly schedule an appointment on one of our closed days, you may email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com.

Adoption fees include spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, preventatives, heartworm testing (if age-appropriate), microchip, and dental cleaning if needed. Future veterinary care will be the adopter’s responsibility.
