Skyler 's Story
Meet Skyler (aka Sky!)

1 year
40 lbs
Female spayed

Skyler is a 1-year-old, 40-pound bundle of fun, affection, and personality. She’s fully house trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to a home looking for a well-rounded young dog. Skyler has a medium energy level—she’s active and playful, loves a good case of the zoomies, and then happily settles back down when playtime is over.

She does well with kids and is gentle and polite around them, even sitting patiently while they eat (hoping—very optimistically—for a snack). Skyler enjoys other dogs too, especially those who aren’t overpowering, and she plays nicely with both small and large canine friends. Cats don’t seem to bother her much; she may try to play, but she’s generally unfazed by them.

Skyler is a bit of a “talker,” but it’s mostly just to get your attention or let you know she needs to go outside. She loves all toys, belly rubs, car rides, and happily sits for treats—she’s very food motivated and eager to please. She’s working on her leash manners and is improving with practice.

One thing Skyler is still mastering is keeping all four paws on the floor—she’s an impressive jumper and has been known to hop onto the kitchen counter if left unattended (talent she’s been politely asked not to show off). She also prefers not to go outside alone and does best with a little encouragement.

Fast, smart, goofy, and affectionate, Skyler is a playful girl with a gentle heart who’s ready to bring laughter and love to her forever home.

Interested in adopting?
