Skye's Story
We are now accepting applications for Skye!

Skye
1.5 yrs
Dogs
Cats with proper intro
No small children

Skye was found as a stray dragging a large chain before ending up at our local shelter. Shepherds rarely do well in a shelter setting and we couldnt say no to taking her on.

Skye seemed to lack exposure to a lot of things when she first arrived at her foster home and was a bit insecure. Thanks to Jordan, shes thriving and has shown just how much of an amazing dog she really is.

Skye is a goofy, happy girl and has been nothing but a love bug while in our care. She has a surprisingly low level of reactivity for a Shepherd. Shes great in her crate, does well in the car and loves a good belly rub. If you have a love for Sheppies, shes your girl!

She is young and is still working on her manners. She can be a bit play mouthy and jumps up when excited, so small children would likely not be the best match for her.

Shes been a good girl around the kitties in her foster home. Shes been great with other dogs and would love a buddy.

Skye will benefit from continued training. Providing structure/boundaries will ensure that she keeps the label of goodest girl ever. She would do best with people that understand and respect the breed and are willing to set her up for success.

Skye absolutely loved joining her foster mom for canicross. She would love to find a family that will make sure she gets to enjoy even more outdoor adventures.

Skye will be spayed, microchipped, snap tested, treated for fleas and ticks, dewormed, fully vaccinated (for Bordetella, Leptospirosis, Rabies and DHPP), and will come with one month of prevention (Nexguard Spectra). She has also had a negative fecal test.

If interested in giving Skye her perfect forever home, please fill out an application on our website.

www.saltyanimalrescue.com/adopt
