Skosh's Story
Skosh is a small pit bull mix, about 18 months old, with a whole lot of heart packed into her petite frame. She is a very sweet girl who loves to cuddle once she gets to know you and feels comfortable. After a short warm-up period, she’s affectionate, loyal, and happy to be close to her people.

Skosh is easy to care for and a total champ when it comes to taking medication — she happily takes pills hidden in a little wet food and does well with liquid medicine, too. She sleeps in her crate at night and is comfortable taking breaks there during the day.

She’s a girl who knows what she likes! Skosh is a bit opinionated and will let you know (with some barking) if her routine changes or if she’s unhappy about something in her kennel or the yard. She’s still working through some puppy behaviors — she can be a little mouthy at times and is still learning polite leash manners — but she’s young, eager, and improving with consistency.

In her foster home, Skosh has fit in quickly and easily. She enjoys playing with other dogs, does well with kids, and warms up to new people fairly fast. Her foster reports that she arrived pretty sick but bounced back quickly, showing just how resilient she is. She does well with the resident dogs, with only a couple of minor disagreements, and has been a sweet, cuddly presence in the home.

Thank you for considering an OTAT-WTX rescue! All pets are living in foster homes, spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines.

If you are interested in adopting, or for more information, please visit our website: https://otatwtx.org/how-to-adopt
