Skolly

<p><span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">Skolly is a wonderful black lab mix who has been at the shelter since April! He bonds very strongly with people, and there is something about those eyes that just go right into your soul. Skolly needs an active lifestyle. He would make a great running partner, Frisbee dog, or agility dog. However, Skolly is really an adventure dog for the mountains, hills, and streams. He has gone on many hikes with one of our shelter volunteers and would make an excellent &ldquo;High Peaks&rdquo; dog for someone looking for a loyal companion with whom to take on such an endeavor.&nbsp;</span><span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">&nbsp;</span><span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">On his very first outing, he took to a pack immediately like he was born in one and carried his own food and water as well as that for the other dog on the hike. He loves to explore, hike, master obstacles, scale cliffs, swim, retrieve sticks, and seek out every mud puddle in the area.&nbsp;</span><span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">What else would you expect from a lab? Although he is such a free spirit, Skolly is also very loyal. It is wonderful to observe him check in and keep watch over his human and canine "pack" on the trail.&nbsp;</span><span style="color: #222222; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">Skolly is very smart with a burning desire to work; he would be a great candidate for Search and Rescue.</span></p>
