Sissy is a 1-year-old Maltese mix with a joyful, easygoing spirit. She’s quiet, playful, and great at entertaining herself, but she can also be a lot of fun with other dogs. She happily ignores cats and absolutely loves meeting new people. Her fur is unbelievably soft, and her ears are truly one of a kind. Sissy is still gaining confidence on leash and improving every day. Her recall is wonderful—she simply wants to be included and part of the action. Despite whatever her past may have been, Sissy is remarkably happy, outgoing, and ready for anything. She’d enjoy having a playful canine companion but would also thrive as a spoiled only pet. One Tail at a Time - West Texas's Adoption Policy

All OTAT-WTX dogs are well-assessed; most become available for adoption after settling into foster homes where we learn loads about them. With rare exception, our pets are fully vetted before becoming available to adopt. Note that there is $150 minimum adoption fee (for dogs and cats and rabbits; if adopting a pair of kittens, the adoption fee is $200). In case of financial hardship, a minimum number of adoption fees may be waived.
