Sissy's Story
💔 They didn’t get to choose their lives. But maybe they can choose their future.

Today we took in Rico and Sissy, two dogs who are the heartbreaking reminder that animals don’t get to choose their owners — or the lives they’re given.

Rico is about 2 years old. His owner has had him since he was a puppy… but Rico has never been walked, never been socialized, never shown the world. And yet somehow, despite all of that, he is pure joy. He is sweet, overflowing with excitement, and absolutely adores people. He is a sponge for affection and just wants to be loved.

Sissy came from the same home. She was dropped off “temporarily” and never picked back up. She’s around 9 months old, and heartbreakingly, she didn’t even have a name. She is wiggly, happy, affectionate, and desperate to soak up every bit of love she’s ever missed.

These dogs are not broken. They are not aggressive. They are not hopeless.

They are GOOD dogs who simply haven’t been given a fair chance.
We are DESPERATELY looking for fosters or adopters. They are not bonded and do not need to go together.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering… If you have room in your home or heart… If you can help even temporarily…
PLEASE reach out. PLEASE share. Their next chapter depends on someone seeing this post and saying “I can help.”

Thank you for reading. Thank you for sharing.
