Sioux's Story
Meet Sioux, the gentle giant with a heart of gold and a lap-dog soul!
Sioux is thinks she's a tiny pup and will happily settle in for a long movie marathon by your side.
When she isn't busy being your personal weighted blanket, she is an outdoor enthusiast. She is a fetch fanatic, though she's still mastering the art of "the drop"-she's currently in the "keep-away" phase of the game!
Why Sioux is a Great Companion:
Household Pro: She is both kennel trained and dog-door trained, making her an easy addition to a structured home.
Social with Pups: She is dog-friendly and enjoys having canine company.
Gentle at Heart: Once she's comfortable, she is wonderful with people of all ages.
Training & Growth: Sioux is a work in progress and is looking for a leader who can help her shine. She experiences some fear aggression when new people enter the home, so she needs a patient owner who is committed to working on her socialization. Because of her size and strength, she'll do best in a home without cats.
The Ideal Home: Sioux needs a family that understands she's a bit of a "homebody" who takes a little extra time to warm up to strangers. If you have room on your couch (and your heart) for a loyal, rain-loving girl who just wants to be your best friend, Sioux is waiting for you.
