Simon's Story

Meet Simon -- the quiet, thoughtful member of our "Chipmunk Brothers" trio (along with Theodore and Alvin)!

At just one year old, Simon is still learning that the world isn't such a scary place. When he first arrived, everything felt overwhelming, but with time, patience, and gentle care, he's already begun to show encouraging progress.

Simon is the most timid of the three brothers and prefers to take things at his own pace. He may need a few minutes to warm up to new people, and he's very honest about his boundaries--letting you know when he needs a little extra space. Because of this, he's looking for a patient and understanding adopter who will respect his signals and allow him to build trust on his own terms.

The beautiful thing about Simon is watching his confidence grow. In the yard, where he feels more comfortable, he starts to relax and show glimpses of his true self. With people he trusts, he enjoys gentle attention and companionship. We're still getting to know all the layers of his personality, but it's clear there's a very sweet, sensitive boy waiting to fully blossom.

Simon would do best in a calm, predictable home where he can continue building confidence at his own pace. With love, patience, and kindness, he has so much potential to become a deeply loyal and loving companion.

If you have a soft spot for shy dogs and the heart to help one come out of his shell, Simon might be the perfect addition to your family.

📍 730 Church Street New Kensington, PA
📝 Adoption Application: https://form.jotform.com/213275062626049
📧 adoptions@animalprotectors.net
📞 (724) 339-7388
