Mom is around 45ish lbs. <br/><br/>TRAITS: Adventurous, explorer, free spirit, sweet, playful, spunky, goofy, chill<br/><br/>DOGS/CATS/KIDS: At this age, puppies can be socialized with anything you want them to be good with. Simon loved the young kid in his temp foster home and has done well with multiple adult dogs. <br/><br/>HEALTH: Up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Neuter will be scheduled for the couple weeks to follow (which we coordinate and pay for; included in adoption fee).<br/><br/>***There is a chance that Simon will eventually be blind. His mom (Takumi) seemed to have vision problems so we had a DNA health test done. Takumi has two copies of Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA); believed to be the cause of her blindness. Since PRA is an inherited/genetic, there is a chance it could have been passed along to her puppies. There is no medical treatment or care needed for PRA, but affected dogs typically go fully blind at a young age. Simon seems to be able to see currently. We just want to ensure his adopter knows of the potential.<br/><br/>BACKSTORY: Mom (Takumi) was roaming with other dogs and picked up by AC limping. On the way to the vet, she unexpectedly went into labor in the back of the officers truck. Despite having a broken leg and surgery to repair, Takumi has been an incredible mama raising her babies. Takumi has a wonderful temperament and looks like a petite shar pei / pittie mix. <br/><br/>REQUIREMENTS: Any resident dogs in the home must be spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccines, and on prevention. We also do a home visit with all fosters and adopters.<br/><br/>LOCATION: Currently in foster in Jackson, GA<br/><br/>AVAILABILITY: Able to go home with his forever family as foster-to-adopt (FTA). FTA is fostering with the intentions of adopting once able to (after neuter). He is not available to anyone else during this time.
