He is an incredibly loving, sensitive, and loyal soul who seems to have one simple philosophy: stay close to the people you love and make friends wherever you go.<br/>Simon has his eyes on his people. He is affectionate and deeply connected to those he loves, while remaining wonderfully polite and respectful with strangers and new people. He has a gentle nature and an open heart, and he is the kind of dog who makes you feel like you have known him forever.<br/>He is also a social butterfly when it comes to other animals. Simon loves playing with dogs of all sizes and personalities—boys, girls, big or small. He also loves horses and is comfortable around them. We haven't had the opportunity to introduce him to cats yet, but based on his gentle, friendly nature, we think he may very well be a wonderful candidate for a feline friend with the right introduction.<br/>And children? Simon adores them.<br/>For all his youthful enthusiasm, Simon has a lovely moderate energy level. He enjoys getting outside, exploring, and going on hikes, and he can happily accompany his people on off-leash adventures. What is especially wonderful about him is that he doesn't feel the need to wander. He naturally stays close, checks in with his person, and has excellent recall. He genuinely wants to be with you.<br/>Simon is also eager to learn and wonderfully responsive to his people. He has the kind of temperament that makes training feel less like a chore and more like building a relationship.<br/>And when the adventures are over, Simon is perfectly happy to become a professional cuddler. One of his favorite things is sleeping in bed with all four feet in the air, completely relaxed and blissfully content. It is impossible not to smile when you see him like that.<br/>Simon is sensitive, affectionate, loyal, playful, and full of love. He isn't looking for a complicated life. He wants what every dog deserves: a family to love, a person to trust, adventures to share, and a soft place to sleep at the end of the day.<br/>We believe Simon has all the makings of an extraordinary lifelong companion and family dog.<br/>Simon isn't just looking for a home.
