Silvermist's Story
Silvermist is a gentle soul who’s just beginning to believe that life can be kind again. This one-year-old, 35-pound Australian Cattle Dog mix is as beautiful as her name suggests. Her speckled coat and soulful eyes make her truly unforgettable. When she first arrived at the Maricopa County shelter, Silvermist was frightened and shut down and battling an upper respiratory infection. These challenges placed her at risk for the E-list. Thankfully, Home Fur Good stepped in to give her a second chance.
Now that she’s healthy and safe, Silvermist is beginning to let her sweet personality shine through. She’s still shy at first, but once she trusts you, her gentle, affectionate nature shines through. She has a calm, tender energy and seems to blossom a little more each day. With patient guidance, she’s learned to walk on a leash and now walks well with her caregivers.
Because she’s still young, Silvermist will benefit from continued training and confidence-building. She was found with another dog and has potential to have a dog sibling, but is still very nervous around them. She may do better as an only-dog, or will need to meet the resident dog multiple times to hopefully get more comfortable.
Silvermist’s $250 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, microchip, and a free wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital. To meet this lovely girl, call 602-971-1334 or visit Thursday–Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. She’s waiting for her special someone
