Silo's Story

Woof! I’m Silo.

My story has a bit of a cold beginning, but I’m hoping for a very warm ending.

I became homeless on December 31, 2025 — though truthfully, I had been on my own for a while before that. The only shelter I could find was a small opening in an old grain silo... so I made it my home.

I don’t remember how long I stayed there, coming in and out of that little opening just trying to survive. Thankfully, someone noticed me and called Animal Control. When they arrived, they offered me food. I was nervous at first, but hunger — and hope — won out. Before long, I was gently eating from their hands.

That was the day my life started to change.

At the shelter, I felt something I hadn’t felt in a long time — relief. A dry, warm place to sleep. Full meals every day. Kind people. Daily walks. Safety.

The humans here think I might have some Pointer or bird dog mix in me, especially when you look at my face. I’m about a year old, mostly white with soft beige markings, and still very much a young pup with lots of life ahead of me.

Here’s my health résumé:
· Heartworm negative
· Up to date on vaccines
· Just need to be neutered to complete my vetting

I’ve already proven I’m resilient.
