Siggy's Story

Some dogs run when they see a car. Siggy ran toward one. In the early morning hours along Highway 38 in the San Bernardino National Forest, a Good Samaritan spotted a young husky standing in the road. When she pulled over, the sweet girl walked right up to her — friendly, trusting, and clearly hoping someone would stop.

Siggy didn’t hesitate. She happily climbed into the car as if she had been waiting for someone to help. She wasn't wearing a collar, wasn't microchipped and no owner was found. Sadly, this stretch of highway is known as a place where people dump dogs.

Today, Siggy’s story looks very different. She is fully vetted, microchipped, and spayed. The vet has given her a clean bill of health and her wonderful personality has begun to shine through. In true husky fashion, Siggy has already made one thing very clear — she absolutely loves the snow. Watching her bound through it with pure joy is a beautiful reminder of how resilient dogs can be when given a second chance. Siggy knows her basic commands and walks well on leash. She would do great in a home with another dog to play with.

Siggy is:

🐕 Great with other dogs
🐈 Friendly with cats
👧 Wonderful with all people including children
🐕 Fully House Trained
🐕 Crate Trained

Check out her YouTube Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/Ym0ibvRsH1E?feature=share

If you’re looking for a sweet, adventurous companion with a big heart, Siggy may be your perfect match.

If you are interested in meeting Siggy, please fill out an adoption application: https://www.southpawrescue.com/adoption-application
