Sig's Story

Meet sweet girl Sig!
Sig is a 3 year old spayed female Doberman. She's a very gentle soul, and life has sadly dealt her a bad hand so far. We're hoping that her luck will soon turn around and she will find a family to cherish her!
Sig was found as a stray wandering in Hill City, Her finders took her in and tried to find her owners, but 6 months later no one had come forward. They could not keep her for long, though, and eventually had to bring her to us to find a new situation. Looking at Sig, it's obvious she has had puppies in the past, potentially multiple litters. We're hoping she wasn't dumped by someone after they were done breeding her, but regardless of her past, she is ready to make a brighter future!
Sig is a very loving girl, but she can be shy in new situations. When she came here she was very nervous, but never aggressive. She would try to hide in her kennel and would shake if someone came at her too quickly. With a few days of patience, though, she quickly warmed up and showed us what a goofy girl she can be! She loves to smile at her favorite people, showing her teeth in a big grin. Sig is also a huge snuggler, and despite her size thinks she would make the perfect lap dog. It will take time and dedication to make her fully comfortable around you, but once you're earned her trust, you will not find a more loyal best friend.
Sig was around big dogs in her previous home and did great with them. She does not do well with cats, however, and as such will not be adopted out to a home with any felines. We have not yet tested her with children, so we recommend a meet and greet with any kids in the home prior to adoption. Sig needs some more training as well, as she isn't fully housebroken.
We know that Sig's perfect family is right around the corner, waiting to show her what true love means! She has received her first round of vaccinations and is officially up for adoption. If you are ready to open your home and heart up to Sig, come by and meet her today!
