Sierra is in Maine SS's Story

Those ears!! Sierra is a calm, polite, sweet and super affectionate girl. She is beauty and brains, loves hiking and adventures and most of all, being her person's sidekick. When she looks at you with those big, beautiful eyes and twitches those magical ears, your heart will just melt. It's happened to all of us, Sierra is a volunteer favorite for sure!

Sierra thrives in calm environments and prefers the her social circle to be kind of small. Initially, she did not seem to be a fan of men, but she has been with her foster dad for months now and thinks he is the greatest thing on earth (he kind of is)! Sierra is not a fan of kids, their quick movements and unpredictability make her very nervous. When she first came to us, she had negative experiences with two different small dogs, not of her fault but any intros to other dogs should be slow and controlled so she doesn't feel like she's being ambushed. We don't know about cats, but as with everything else, with a slow intro she would probably be just fine.

Sierra is house and crate trained and does fine by herself for a workday. She is a fit and lean 45lbs pound cuddle bug/athlete well-suited for outdoor activities and loves her daily walks. She is great on leash, rides well in the car and is an all-around pretty perfect dog!

January 2024 estimated DOB

PLEASE NOTE - We will check your veterinary reference, to ensure that current and prior dogs have a history of being kept up to date on rabies and distemper,
Current pets must by spayed/neutered.

YOUR ADOPTION FEE COVERS: Transport to Maine, age specific vaccinations, Health certificate, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm/lyme/ehrlichia test, worming & martingale collar.

Adoption fees:
Through 6 months of age $450;
7 months to through 5 years $400;
6 years and under 9 years $325: bonded pairs are $500;
9 years and older $250: bonded pairs are $300

This dog is available unless it is marked as Pending, meaning Pending Adoption.
