Sienna's Story
Meet Sienna

Retriever Mix • Estimated DOB: 7/4/25

Sienna is a gentle, sensitive young girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. She’s working on potty training and is getting better each day. Her crate has become her comfort zone—she’ll go inside on her own, relax without any messes, and even prefers to eat her meals there because it helps her feel secure. She’s naturally shy and very reserved, often choosing quiet spaces like under the table or curling up on a bed for hours. Loud noises can be overwhelming for her, and she startles easily, though she has let out a few brave barks at strange sounds at night.

She’s good with kids who understand how to be gentle with a scared dog, and she isn’t food-motivated—she won’t even touch snacks that fall on the floor and shows little interest in treats or toys. She does, however, enjoy a couple of her bones. Walks are something she’s curious about, but loud or unfamiliar noises can make her panic. The one thing that reliably brightens her is the presence of other dogs. Her tail wagged the most around them, and her foster believes she would truly thrive with a confident, friendly dog companion to help guide her.

Sienna is a sweetheart who shows her affection in quiet, subtle ways. Sometimes she’ll follow her foster around the kitchen; other times she’s happy snoozing alone with zero expectations. She’s the definition of a “Netflix and chill” dog—she’ll share the couch and the blanket, but she prefers her own little corner. She needs a patient home that honors her need for space, doesn’t overwhelm her, and is willing to let her bloom at her own pace. With time, gentleness, and maybe a canine friend, Sienna will show just how much love she has tucked inside her tender little heart.

Interested in adopting?
