Shylo's Story

Meet Shylo!
Found as a stray, Shylo is a young girl who is curious about her surroundings and always keeping an eye out for treats! She readily approaches her people and enjoys exploring, though she can be a little unsure when things feel unfamiliar. Give her some time to get comfortable, and you'll get to see more of her sweet personality shine.

My Ideal Home
Shylo will thrive with a patient family who can give her time to settle in and build confidence. She'll benefit from daily physical and mental enrichment, including walks, food puzzles, long lasting chews, and fun games like hide and seek. Positive reinforcement and letting Shylo set the pace will help her feel safe and successful as she gets to know her new world.

Good with Other Pets?
We don't have much history about Shylo's life before arriving at ACC, and we did not observe a clear response to other dogs during her time in the shelter. Any future introductions should be slow, thoughtful, and supervised, giving Shylo plenty of time to feel comfortable.

Good with Kids?
Shylo would do best with older, dog savvy children who understand how to give a dog space and let her approach on her own terms. Because she can be sensitive during handling and in unfamiliar situations, calm and respectful interactions will be especially important.

Things to Know
Shylo walks with mild pulling and can be a little sensitive to physical handling, so she'll appreciate gentle interactions and plenty of positive reinforcement. She can also be vocal when startled by something unfamiliar and may need a little time to recover, making a calm routine and patient approach especially helpful. She's a young dog with lots to discover, and with the right person beside her, Shylo can grow into a confident and wonderful companion!
Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 39lbs Age: 2yrs 0mths 2wks Animal has been Spayed
