Shylee's Story

Shylee is another dog that we took into rescue after her family moved and just left her at the vacant house. The idea that someone can do this, without even a second thought, is just incredible to use. Especially so when the dog is a loving girl. When our rescue partner in NC sent me a video of her running out from behind the house- so happy that someone was there, I said, "please get her to our vets office. We'll take her!" You could see that she was so frightened being by herself. You could tell that she expected her family to come back for her. From the moment that she arrived at our vets office, she seemed to settle as if she knew she was safe. It was obvious she was a dog that had been part of a family. She seemed to be looking for her person- so easy and patience with her helped to put her at ease.

She is a beautiful girl with a gorgeous coat, and eyes that melt your heart. Around a year old she has been fully vetted, spayed and on preventatives. She's a charm when crated during the fosters work schedule. She's housebroken, so smart and always ready to learn when you spend the time teaching her.

Our Mission
Our rescue focus is on adult dogs from the southeast that are in high kill shelters. Our plan is to fully vet as needed, evaluate and train as needed in preparation for adoption. We place our rescues in a foster home setting to prepare our dogs for a home of their own and to determine the best match for that rescue.
