Shuga (Sugar)

Shuga is a petite 10 lb., 2 year old Shih Tzu - Poodle mix girl. She is blind, probably from birth, but it doesn't stop her. Shuga, as in "Sugar" loves to play with the other young dogs in her foster home, as well as anything that makes a sound, including paper that has found the floor. Outside, she runs excitedly around the yard because there’s little to bump into, and she has explored most of the back ¼ acre. She will join the other dogs at the fence who are commenting on people and dogs walking by. Yes, she offers her opinion! Shuga is pee pad trained and does not like to go on walks; there are too many scary things she can hear but not see. Patience and trust should help her learn to enjoy her walks. Shuga would be great in an adoptive home where things mostly remain in the same place. She is currently fostered in North Carolina but can travel for the perfect forever home.
