Shug 's Story
1-2 years

Hello, you are going to fall in love with me. Give me a little Sugar! I love to run, play and I can be your best friend if you let me. I require training, and should be able to get along with children and dogs with the right introductions and continued work.

I came from Detroit with no history.

At the Humane Society of Midland County, all animals adopted will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations prior to adoption. Dogs over 6 months of age will be heartworm tested, and any dog with a positive test will receive treatment at no additional cost to the owner. This is one reason we have fees on the dogs to help cover the extra medical some of the other residents need. They all share the burden and the rewards.
No Appointment Needed to Meet Adoptable Animals!
We have open adoption hours, and walk-ins are always welcome! While filling out an application lets us know you're interested in adopting, it does not hold an animal, and applications are not required to meet the available animals. We typically require a meet-and-greet between any resident dogs and the dog you’re interested in adopting, to ensure everyone gets along safely and comfortably.
Want to Know if I’m Still Available?
Call the shelter at (989)-835-1877 to confirm my availability.
