Shorty/ADOPTED!'s Story
UPDATE: 7/22/05 - "Shorty is doing great,he is a real member of the family. We treat July 18th,the day we got him, as his birthday since we don't know when it is. He received a new nylabone, which he loves and a stylish collar. He likes to hide the bone,in the sofa and play with his stuffed piggy. He keeps very busy being watch dog and constant companion to my mother. Shorty follows her every move and is very, very protective. I'm afraid she gives him a few too many treats, but I think they are good for each other. His yearly check up was fine, though he doesn't like his nails trimmed. He sleeps at night on my bed in his blanket;it's folded in half,he gets inside and goes around in circles till he has wrapped himself in a cocoon. How can such a small dog take up half a bed! I would miss him if he wasn't there! He was a great find and I applaud all that you do. I always encourage people I meet to do a "rescue" when searching for a pet. I tell them about Shorty and how "Mingle with the Mutts" is such a great opportunity to meet their potential companion. Thanks for letting Shorty be an honorary cocker and part of your web-site!

UPDATE: Shorty is settling into his new home quite nicely and is already becoming part of the family. This little guy is very deserving of such a WONDERFUL home!!!

Meet Shorty an HONORARY COCKER! Shorty weighs all of 13lbs. He is two years old, neutered, housebroken and a very very sweet little guy. He is good with cats and other dogs. We are unsure about children. Shorty's foster mom says that he walks close to her wherever she goes like he is afraid he is going to lose his new person and he sleeps right next to her at night. Obviously, Shorty is looking for someone to love him as much as he is wanting to love. Shorty would make a great a addition to your family.<

For more information or to download an application please go to our website at www.Cherishedcockers.org
