Shortcake's Story

Pop Up Promo! ACC is over capacity, so I'm currently living in a pop up crate. My adoption fee is waived, and my adoption comes with a $50 Chewy gift card.

Meet Shortcake!Shortcake is a sweet, gentle girl who may need a little time to warm up, but once she feels comfortable, her soft side starts to shine. She was found as a stray, so we're still learning about her past, but she's already shown us that she enjoys exploring and can become quite affectionate with a little encouragement. After getting some exercise, Shortcake even started actively asking her handlers for attention.

My Ideal HomeShortcake would love a calm, quiet home where she can take her time getting comfortable and learn that she's safe and loved. Daily walks, gentle enrichment, food puzzles, and long-lasting chews will give her fun ways to stay active and build confidence. Her ideal family will let her set the pace while celebrating all her little steps forward.

Good with Other Pets?Shortcake's history with other dogs is unknown since she came to us as a stray. During a recent introduction, she showed some polite interest before choosing to explore on her own, so any future introductions should be slow, thoughtful, and supervised.

Good with Kids?Because Shortcake can be nervous in new situations, we recommend a home without young children. She'll do best with people who understand that a shy pup may need some time and space before she's ready to become best friends.

Things to KnowShortcake walks beautifully without pulling and is a lovely companion once she's feeling more at ease. She can start out a little tense or cautious, but she has shown that she can relax and seek affection after some exercise and gentle encouragement. She's a little like her namesake: give her the right ingredients, a little patience, and plenty of sweetness, and Shortcake may just become your favorite treat.
Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Black Weight: 41lbs Age: 2yrs 0mths 1wks Animal has been Spayed
