Meet Shirley!<br/><br/>Shirley is a 4-year-old beautiful blue pittie who’s affectionate, energetic, and full of playful personality. She’s looking for a family who can match her enthusiasm for life! She is a social girl that loves people and has also done great around children.<br/><br/>Shirley can be initially a little shy in new situations, but once she’s comfortable, she absolutely loves playing tug and soaking up hugs and affection. She quickly turns into a brave girl who always tries her best. Shirley loves toys, bones and especially loves her bed she got for Christmas.<br/><br/>She is being fostered at a doggie day where she gets to socialize with other dogs AND receive regular training with their on staff trainer! She is at Bark N Park in Lake Bluff, they are working on helping Shirley build her confidence and make her social skills around other dogs impeccable. <br/><br/>Curious if Shirley would be a good fit for your family? ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possible. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed.
