Shiloh's Story
Many dogs need new homes because of a new baby, or the family is moving, or maybe the new dog doesn't get along with the existing one. Shiloh needs a new home because her beloved daddy-person is dying of cancer. He only has a few days left, and he is finally ready to let her go to the right home. In fact, by the time you read this, he will probably have already passed on to the Rainbow Bridge to meet up with the other pets he has had, who have gone before him.

Shiloh is a 1.5 year old female Pit-Bull, possibly a mix. She is the most loving, submissive dog around. The first time I met her, I walked into her house unannounced, and she "attacked" me by washing my face with kisses. She had never met me before, I was a total stranger walking into her empty house, and she practically knocked me down to reach my face to wash it thoroughly. A guard dog, she is not. (Although her bark is quite intimidating!)

Shiloh used to be taken to the dog-park twice a day and allowed to play freely with the other dogs. Since her daddy-person has gotten sick, she hasn't gotten out nearly as much. I've been told that she does well with kids, but I haven't been witness to it. She is noise and motion sensitive, however, so I wouldn't put her into a home with young children who are very active. I've also been told that she likes to chase cats. I think that this could very easily be trained out of her. She knows Sit and Down, and does them quite well for Cookies! She's completely house-trained and is used to being left alone in the house for hours at a time.

Shiloh will only go to the best of homes. She is the heart and soul of her daddy-person, and it is his last wish that she be found the perfect place to live out the rest of her life, until she can go to meet Pete at the Rainbow Bridge.

If you are interested, please send an e:mail to PitbullRescue@PawPrintz.org and request an application. Adoption Fee: $150.00; Adoption Requirements: Application, Interview, Homecheck.
