Sherman's Story

This handsome hunk is Sherman. Sherman is a 4 month old American Pit Bull Terrier mix. He came to SGAR awhile back after suffering a pelvic injury. After multiple consults, required crate rest and lots of back and forth between surgery options, Sherman’s most recent X-rays showed that his bones have healed normally and he will not need surgery in the future. However, the orthopedic specialist did suggest that it would be in Sherman’s best interest to wait until he was over a year old to neuter him. Our regular spay/neuter polices still apply and the cost of surgery will be covered at an approved vet partner. Sherman is currently in foster with other dogs as well as cats. As Sherman is still a puppy, we do not know if he will like cats/kids/etc once fully grown. He is expected to be a large sized dog.
