Sheridan's Story

Sweet Sheridan is still looking for his people.

Two months. That's how long Sheridan has been waiting... and he's the last of his litter

Sheridan is a Heinz57 mix (last pic is DNA of a littermate). He is still searching for his forever family, and we can't believe he's been overlooked. This sweet boy is full of love and ready to give his whole heart to someone special.

He's incredibly food-motivated (training win! ) and already has a great foundation—potty trained, knows how to use a dog door, and walks well on a leash. Like many young pups, he's still building confidence with new sights and sounds, but he's doing great and continues to grow every day.

Sheridan absolutely lives for fun—especially if it involves snow or water. He and his foster siblings spent hours playing in a snowstorm like it was the best day ever (and yes... you may need to keep an eye on the water bowl ).

He's playful, affectionate, and loves a good cuddle after a day of adventures. Sheridan can be a little protective of his favorite chew items with other dogs, but he's easily redirected and responds well—he's a smart boy who just needs a little guidance.

Sheridan is just over 5 months old Now that all his siblings have found their homes, it's finally his turn. Sheridan is ready for a family who will love him, guide him, and give him the life he deserves.

(The last couple of pics are his mom, Snickerdoodle, and her DNA!)

If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt

El Paso County Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please bear with us as we process applications! We are working on changing our processes to function during the COVID-19 outbreak. We have had a big increase in people wanting to adopt (yay!) so it's taking us a bit of time to get through the applications. We work on a first-come, first-serve basis. You must apply for adoption before you will be able to meet with a pup. If you meet with a dog and decide to adopt, we can process your adoption right then and you can go home with your new family member! Thank you for adopting from us and saving our sweet dogs!
