Sheridan's Story

Meet Sheridan! He and his 10 siblings came to CO from OK, looking for a better life. (Their mom had already come ahead and even got adopted!) He LOVES food and that should make training fairly easy. Sheridan does scrounge around for food in the kitchen (what dog doesn't) and sometimes will try a little counter surfing to see if there's something there he can have! He is working hard on potty training and knows how to use the dog door. He enjoys being able to go in and out as he pleases to run around the backyard and play with his brother and other foster "siblings". Sheridan and the other dogs are all buds and like to wrestle and roll around in the dirt! He will need some leash work, as the world is still a bit scary for him, but having another dog to help him be brave would be great!! Sheridan enjoys cuddling with you and is sweet as can be. Will you take him home and give him the life he deserves?

(The last pic is of my mom, Snickerdoodle. She's living her best life now!)

If you are interested in adopting, please visit our website and complete an adoption application at www.elpasocountycanine.org/adopt

El Paso County Canine Rescue's Adoption Policy
Please bear with us as we process applications! We are working on changing our processes to function during the COVID-19 outbreak. We have had a big increase in people wanting to adopt (yay!) so it's taking us a bit of time to get through the applications. We work on a first-come, first-serve basis. You must apply for adoption before you will be able to meet with a pup. If you meet with a dog and decide to adopt, we can process your adoption right then and you can go home with your new family member! Thank you for adopting from us and saving our sweet dogs!
