Shepherd's Story

Shepherd has been putting in the work and doing it with grace. He recently completed his heartworm treatment like an absolute champ and is currently following his activity restrictions while he waits for his next big milestone: being chosen by a family of his own.
Even on limited activity, Shepherd's sweetness is fully operational. He has done wonderfully on Adventure Tails outings, soaking up time in public with calm curiosity and easygoing charm. Over the holidays, he also got a taste of home life through our Silent Night in the Shelter program, where he stayed with a foster family and showed just how well he settles in. Cozy, polite, and happy to be included, Shepherd proved he knows exactly how to be a great house guest.
Shepherd is affectionate, gentle, and people-oriented. He enjoys companionship, attention, and being part of the action without needing to be the center of chaos. He is the kind of dog who makes things feel steadier just by being nearby.
Shepherd has already shown resilience, patience, and a whole lot of heart. Now he's ready for the next chapter, one that includes consistency, comfort, and someone who sees what a truly special dog he is.
Come meet Shepherd and see for yourself. He's been waiting, and he's worth it.
