Meet Shep! Shep came to CCHS from a shelter in Texas. He was adopted for a few days but came back because he wasn't good with the cats in the home. He prefers not to be in a crate and will chew his way out. He also needs some help with his housetraining. Shep wants to be with his person as much as possible. He has a history of being good with other dogs so another dog in the home may also be helpful for him. He loves to cuddle and receive belly rubs. He will wander off if loose outside so make sure he's leashed or in a fenced in area. Shep will need a home where the family has time to let him adjust and get used to a new schedule. Most shelter dogs need some extra time and once they understand the concepts of their home, they make wonderful pets.

My adoption fee is $50.00. Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Erlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption.
