Adopting a New Dachshund Family Member As every dachshund owner knows, there is no better pet experience than owning a doxie! They are loyal to their person, they are comical, spunky, stubborn, smart and loving. And most of all, each one posseses such a unique and special personality that you can't help but fall in love right back. We do have some requirements to go through our adoption process; they are as follows: We require that you own your home. We are no longer processing applications from renters. We require that you have a secure, completely fenced back yard. And we require that you currently or have owned pets in the past with the information of your current veterinarian.
