He had been beaten up and had been stabbed with what looked like knife wounds. He suffered internal and external bleeding. Not only was Shelby physically injured, the sensitive Soul that he is, he was also deeply depressed. It took him months to physically heal and even longer to shake off his depression and fully trust humans again. <br/> <br/>PERSONALITY: Thanks to his rescue family, Shelby is a new dog. With his past behind him, this boy is a bundle of love, life and joy. He completely trusts humans and loves to hang out with his family on the couch watching TV.<br/><br/>This tail wagging gent is such a happy boy. He is also very smart and learns quickly. He knows the words, ‘sit,’ ‘come’ and ‘no.’<br/><br/>He absolutely adores people and is great with kids, other dogs and cats. <br/><br/>Shelby likes to explore and enjoys going for walks or hikes. Having a fully enclosed backyard would be nice for him to run around in but it is not necessary as long as there are green parks and places for him to be stimulated and run and play.<br/><br/>IDEAL HOME ENVIRONMENT: This spirited lad would be an amazing family dog. He likes to be an active part of the family and to be involved in all the activities.
