Shelby's Story

I came to the shelter from a smaller hoarding situation where I had multiple litters of puppies, so I’ve been through a lot—but I’m ready for a fresh start. Despite that, I have a very sweet and steady personality. I’m great with other dogs and even know how to politely correct them if they get a little too pushy. I have also been introduced to cats, and I would do best with a dog-savvy cat who can confidently set boundaries with me. I’ve been taken on walks outside of the shelter, and I’ve received nothing but great reviews for how well I handle myself out in the world. I do pretty well on a leash and am housetrained to the best of my ability, though I could still use a little help polishing my manners. I would love a home where I can finally relax, be cared for, and just be someone’s dog.
