Meet Shelby

Shelby is a beautiful adult dog with limited socialization. She wasn't handled during those all-too-important weeks of her puppyhood, and she is fearful of strangers. For those of us whom she trusts, she graces us with a muzzle rubbed against the back of a hand. Even with us, though, she is cautious. We call her an "untouchable," although she isn't really untouchable. We don't know if Shelby will ever leave us. We don't know if there is someone out there with the skills, patience, and dedication to give her what she needs. What we do know is that she deserves the chance...and so we have listed her with all the other good dogs at Red Fern. If you are someone who can help her, please do.
