Sheba Basenji & Pit Bull Terrier Mix Bethel, CT

Hello, I'm Sheba! My name, in Hebrew, means "promise" and I vow to furever love you if you adopt me! I'm two years old, 52 lbs., and believe I may be a mix of a basenji and pit bull but who knows - I can, however, contest that I'm 100% adorable!

I was found as a stray and then brought to a shelter in NC, where I sadly spent 19 months waiting for someone to come save me. That's nearly my whole life! Now that I am out of the kennel, I'm finally learning "how to dog" and experiencing all the world has to offer. Since being in a shelter is pretty much all I've ever known, it has all been a bit overwhelming but I'm learning each day. I need someone that is going to be patient with me as I have been very anxious in my foster home.

One thing about me is that I absolutely LOVE people and with ears as big as mine, I'm a great listener too! I really enjoy being outside, especially sniffing and exploring, and will never say no to a walk or run. Everything is just so exciting to me right now that I can get overstimulated. I have a nice medium energy level and really like to cuddle up next to you on the couch. When I was in the shelter, I was friendly with both cats and dogs. Since I can get mouthy, I'd do best in a home with teens and up. I MUST go to a home with a fenced yard so I can run all my energy out and be safe.
