SHEA DIANA's Story
SHEA DIANA

*House-trained
*Crate-trained
*Calm, friendly, and enjoys other dogs and people
*Walks well on leash

www.youluckydogrescue.org - Adoption Application can be found at this website.

Shea Diana is estimated to be 1 ½ years old and is 55 lbs.

You will never believe that this beautiful girl was discarded like trash at a gas station. Shea Diana, “”Shea,” was rescued from Henry County Animal Control on 9/26/25, as soon as her stray hold was up. Nobody was coming to claim her. Shea was found wandering around a gas station in Henry County, after someone reported that she had been pushed out of a car. She was roaming around the gas station for three weeks before volunteers could earn her trust to catch her, earning her the nickname “Gas Station Girl.” So many volunteers worked hard to save her at You Lucky Dog Rescue and Henry County Animal Shelter.

Shea lives in a foster home that includes her foster mom and dad, college-aged human brother and sister, 4 dogs (males and female), and 1 cat. She is sweet and curious and uses her foster home’s dogs to figure out food and daily routines. She is a quick learner and was fully crate and house trained days after she arrived, even though she was unsure of her new environment. She goes outside to do her potty business every 4 hours or so and sleeps through the night. She will whine to indicate she needs to go out. She is fine in her crate at home when her foster parents need to run errands.

Shea is quiet in the car and will ride on the backseat without jumping around the car. She will poke her head up front every now and then to check in with her people. She loves being on her bed during the day while her foster dad works, alternating between chewing bones or taking a nap. She is a typical Lab and will happily sniff hands and pockets for treats. She loves her milk bones! She does not have any food aggression and will take treats very gently from her foster parents.

Shea is an easy Lab with a sweet temperament. She has even met young children at an adoption event and was not nervous at all. She met them with sniffs and gentle nose boops. Shea is certainly a dog one would not expect to find abandoned or at a shelter; she is so sweet and appreciative of life! Her foster parents can’t wait to find her a forever family so she can get more attention, love, and time with her people. She is truly a gem and will no doubt be scooped up quickly!

For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.youluckydogrescue.org and read our Adoption FAQ's and Before You Adopt documents. You can complete an online adoption application from our website. You can also email info@youluckydogrescue.org for additional details that are not included in this biography.

PRIVATE MEET & GREETS: Submitting an adoption application is required before a private meet & greet will be scheduled. We will complete a pre-screening first to make sure that the dog you are interested in is a good fit for you. That way, we don't unnecessarily waste your time or the foster's time.

Our adoption fee is $300 and includes all age appropriate vaccines, spay or neuter and microchipping. All of our rescue dogs are heart worm tested annually beginning at 9 months of age, and they are kept on monthly heart worm and flea preventatives.

The breed and age included in this listing is based upon the opinion of a vet that has examined the dog. We cannot confirm the age of the dog unless the dog was born in the care of the rescue.

We are located in the metro Atlanta area. We currently do not allow out of state adoptions as a home check is required as part of the adoption process.
