Shasta's Story
Meet Shasta!
Shasta is a 1.5-year-old Blue Heeler with a striking look (no tail!) and an incredibly loyal, Velcro-style personality. At just 27 lbs, she’s a compact, attentive companion who loves nothing more than being close to her person.

Shasta is potty trained (uses a dog door), kennel trained, and walks beautifully on a leash. She actually enjoys her kennel—even when it’s open—because it’s her cozy safe spot.

She’s selective but polite with other dogs. Shasta does best with calm dogs who respect her space. She’s not a fighter and simply needs a little time to warm up. While she’s not a huge fan of rowdy play, she will engage and have fun with the younger heeler in her current home. At this time, we don’t know how she is with cats or kids.

Shasta would thrive in a quieter home with someone who wants a loyal, affectionate shadow. If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle girl who bonds deeply, Shasta may be the perfect addition to your family.

Submit an application at Hdrescueoregon.com. $400 adoption fee .
