Meet Sharkey! This lovable 7-year-old was surrendered to Rescue because his previous family couldn't provide the time and attention he truly deserves. Many things in life are still new to him, like splashing around in a brook for the first time! Sharkey loves to play ball, though he prefers to roll it with his feet rather than chase and return it. While he may not make it onto the Dodgers or Angels roster, he could have a future in soccer!

Sharkey enjoys being close to his humans and adores belly rubs—he could soak those up all day! He’s friendly with people but can be a bit reactive around other dogs, so he'd thrive best as the only pup in the household. He is improving as he gets out in the world. His fosters give him lots of walks….school drop-off every morning, sports parks when the foster’s kids have practice and family walks in the nearby parks and school.

At home, Sharkey can be quite the charmer, though he’ll bark to let you know when someone is approaching his territory—who needs a Ring camera when you have him on watch? He loves getting his fur brushed, going for car rides, and is always standing by the door ready to head out on a walk. When he returns from a walk, he chills and lies at your feet.
